Policy Against Registered Sex Offenders

Purpose of This Policy

The COACHD App, LLC / COACH’D is committed to maintaining a safe environment for athletes, coaches, and all users. This Policy Against Registered Sex Offenders (“Policy”) outlines our zero-tolerance stance toward individuals who have been convicted of sexual offenses or are required to register as sex offenders. It works alongside the End User
Agreement, User Code of Conduct, and all other COACH’D policies.

Zero-Tolerance Standard

COACH’D strictly prohibits:
• Registered sex offenders
• Individuals convicted of sexual crimes, regardless of registration status
• Individuals currently under investigation for sexual misconduct
• Individuals banned from youth-serving or athletic organizations for sexual misconduct
Any such individual is not permitted to create an account, use the platform, or interact with users in any capacity.

User Representation & Certification

By using COACH’D, all users—coaches and athletes—affirm that they:
• Are not registered sex offenders
• Have not been convicted of sexual misconduct
• Are not currently under investigation for sexual offenses
• Have not been banned from athletic or youth-serving organizations for sexual misconduct
Providing false information is grounds for immediate removal.

Verification & Screening

COACH’D may, at its discretion:
• Conduct background checks
• Review public sex offender registries
• Request identification or documentation
• Investigate reports or allegations
COACH’D is not obligated to perform screenings but reserves the right to do so at any time.

Reporting & Investigation

Users are encouraged to report concerns immediately. Reports may include:
• Suspicious behavior
• Disclosure of past offenses
• Matches to public offender registries
• Inappropriate communication or conduct

COACH’D will review reports and may:
• Suspend the account during investigation
• Request additional information
• Permanently ban the user

COACH’D may also notify law enforcement when appropriate.

Immediate Account Termination

COACH’D may immediately suspend or permanently terminate any account if:
• The user is identified as a registered sex offender
• The user is found to have a relevant criminal conviction
• The user provides false or misleading information
• The user poses a safety risk to the community
COACH’D is not required to provide notice or explanation before taking action.

In-Person Safety

Because COACH’D facilitates real-world interactions between coaches and athletes, this policy is essential to user safety. Users should exercise caution when meeting others in person and report any concerns promptly.

No Appeals for Sex Offender Bans

Users banned under this policy are not eligible for reinstatement or appeal. COACH’D maintains a permanent ban for any individual who violates this policy.

Legal Compliance

COACH’D complies with all applicable laws regarding sexual offender restrictions, reporting, and user safety. Users are responsible for ensuring their use of the platform does not violate court orders, probation terms, or local laws.

Policy Updates

COACH’D may update this policy at any time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
